Counseling Psychology

Trinity offers two different Master of Arts degrees in the field of psychology. The Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MA/CP) offered by Trinity Graduate School is only available at Trinity International University, Florida. The Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling (MA/MHC) offered by Trinity Evangelical Divinity School is available at our Deerfield, Illinois campus. What courses will I take?

The MA in Counseling Psychology (MA/CP) gives you a strong background in counseling and psychology while allowing you to tailor the program to your specific career interests. With two different emphases in Mental Health and Guidance, the program exposes students to all aspects of counseling in a wide range of fields.

MA in Counseling Psychology students choose a concentration in either Mental Health Counseling (27 hours) or Guidance and Counseling (21 hours)

*As of January 2001, State of Florida licensing requirements for internship are 1,000 contact hours. Students unable to meet this requirement in two semesters of internship can enroll in further onsite work using CP 7950 Counseling Practicum or CP 7963 Advanced Counseling Practicum as one of the Mental Health Counseling concentration electives.
