Dr. Roy joined the faculty of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL in 1998, teaching first in the Systematic Theology department and since 2001 in the Pastoral Theology department. Combining twelve years of pastoral experience with his PhD in Systematic Theology, he seeks to pursue his passion for the integrating of theology and pastoral ministry in the local church. He is deeply committed to mentoring students and working with them for mutual growth in personal and ministry formation. In addition to his teaching and mentoring ministry in Deerfield, Dr. Roy has also taught regularly at TIU-Florida since 1998. He became the Director of the MA(TS) program in January of 2010. He is the author of How Much Does God Foreknow: A Comprehensive Biblical Study and What God Thinks When We Fail: Finding Grace and True Success, both published by InterVarsity Press. Prior to coming to Trinity, Dr. Roy taught at Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary in West Africa. He has also served in campus ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and in pastoral ministry in both Minnesota and Oregon. Dr. Roy and his wife, Susan, have three adult children and four grandchildren. They live in Mundelein, IL. Dr. Roy enjoys his family as well as reading, jogging, and following current events and sports. Selected Publications
